Labour Licence

« Back to Glossary Index

When a contractor has 20 or more than 20 labours working for him, then it is mandatory for the contractor to get a labour licence registration. If the number is less than 20 then he can continue his work without the labour licence. There are two types of Labour Licence which are issued, One for the Principal Employer and the other one is for the Petty Contractor. The licence can be applied on state wise government e-portals or by going to the state level labor office. If you want to apply for Labour Licence, then you can find your state’s government Labour Office E-portal here. You can also find information about the Labour Licence Renewal on the government e-portal of Labour Office.

If you want to read more about Labour Licence Registration and it’s documents then you can read this blog which is regarding Labour Licence and it’s documentation part.
