1. To get Certificate of Competency Class-1 & Competency Class-2, you need to attend an exam.
2. For Certificate of Competency Class-1 and Competency Class-2, you need to be an Electrical Supervisor, Foreman and Charge hands.
3. For the exam of Competency Class-1, a candidate should have passed Class-2, Certificate of Competency examination after which he shall have at least 5 years of working experience whereas to apply for Class-2, a candidate should have two years of working experience.
4. A candidate can receive Certificate of Competency Class-1 from The Board, if they have a degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any Technical institute. It is only if a candidate has a complete training or job in electrical lie and power installation for at least three years after completing a degree or diploma.
5. In case of Competency Class-2, a candidate can be immediately granted Certificate of Competency Class-2 if they have passed ITI from a recognized institute of NCT of Delhi in the trade of Electrician/Wireman or if they have three years of experience in work through Apprenticeship Advisor, Govt. of NCT of Delhi in the trade of Lineman / Wireman / Electrician. A candidate should be 18 plus for this.

2. Competency Class-2 certificate issued by the Board
3. Original Treasury Challan receipt
4. Two passport size photographs duly attested by Gazetted officer or Magistrate or present employer or member of Parliament or MLA or Municipal Councilor
5 Copy of the address

1. Original Treasury challan receipt for Rs.100/- towards examination fee
2. Original experience certificate with a copy attested
3. Age proof
4. For ITI candidates, attested photocopy of the ITI certificate.
5. Two passport size photographs duly attested by Gazetted officer or Magistrate or present employer or member of Parliament or MLA or Municipal Councilor
6. Copy of the address
Process of renewal of wireman competency certificate
- The license issued has the validity till the age of 65 and it can be renewed after this age
- A certain amount of fees is to be paid while applying for the renewal
- The fee of renewal is Rs 100/- for Class-1 and Rs 50/- for Class-2
